Cell Phone & Internet
It can be difficult to stay in touch while on the road, but it’s not impossible. There are a few tricks & tips that are useful in staying in the know such as using your phone as a hotspot for internet service while moving. Everyone knows the top phone services and has a cell phone handy, but that phone can also double as a modem for you to gain internet access. Of course, make sure to speak with your cellular provider to make sure this feature is available to you, but in most cases, it’s an automatic perk that comes with your plan. Now despite an amazing provider, the reality is that it just can’t cover everything. So what do you do when you’re in the mountains and aren’t getting solid service? A great tool to help in that matter would be an external antenna, but you just need to make sure it’s compatible with your device. External antenna’s are the perfect way to extend that data reach, thus bringing you the clear phone service or internet connection if it’s being used as a modem.
Roaming & International Borders
With traveling all over, cell phone plans can tend to get pretty expensive. One way to save some funds would be to stay cautious of your phone roaming when near a border. Sometimes when driving near or across from a border, your phone will link to a tower from across the border, rather than stay connected with your current carrier. Of course, if it is indeed your plan to go between the borders during your travels, then my suggestion would be to speak to your provider and ask them about their international travel packages.
