It seems more and more i’ll come across an RV Resort that only allows Class A’s and many think the same of CreekFire. Well guess what? That’s not true at all & all RV’s are welcome and encouraged to park, camp and relax.
Whether your rig is big or small, there are just some things, like cooking, that come with an adjustment for a successful meal. We thought it might be helpful to have a plan where this is concerned, so here are some tips and tricks that we and others would recommend.
1. Tin Foil is your BEST FRIEND!
Whether your cooking in your RV or over the fire, there are so many yummy meals that can be made. Initially you might think there isn’t much you could do with making your meals within tin foil, but you would be wrong. There’s a much wider range of options than I could even imagine; ranging from delicious smothered hashbrowns to seafood pastas, the possibilities are endless.
2. Meal Planning is Key!
No one wants to be eating the same thing everyday, but coming up with something new everyday can prove to be a challenge as well after a while, so why not plan out a few options for yourself? Take a few minutes each week to sit down and plan out a variety of what meals you would want that week, get your supplies & prep! Of course, your mind can always change and you decide in your week to make something else, but all in all you have your meals ready to go when you are and stress free.
3. LOVE the CrockPot!
My deep seeded love for tin foil meals extends the same to using a crockpot. What a magical tool and yet so simple! Just like tin foil cooking, there are endless options of what can be made within a crockpot thus saving time, space and clean-up. Who doesn’t want that?! Everything from your classic chili to all kinds of pastas, desserts, breakfast, you name it!
4. A Few Good Tools Goes a LONG Way!
Now there’s no need to be fancy, but we all know quality is king. Although there’s no need to be picky over things such as forks, knives and plates, some appliances deserve the extra attention. Think about the tools you use most and start there. Proper cutting knives, boards & cooking spoons are the usual key ingredients to starting your quality cook wear collection & always come in handy in and outdoors.
